If the passport is lost, first you have to make a general diary or GD at the nearest police station. Then you have to apply for a new passport. The original copy of GD should be submitted along with the attested application form.
It is better to attach a photocopy of the lost passport with it. That is why it is important to keep some photocopies of passports and other information including numbers at all times.
If you want to get a passport on an emergency basis within 7 days of submitting the application, the fee will be Tk. 8,900. According to normal time, the fee to get a passport in 21 days is 3 thousand 450 rupees.
This fee can be deposited in Sonali Bank as well as One Bank, Trust Bank, Bank Asia, Premier Bank and Dhaka Bank.
