Computer Tips

 Website Security--

Use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connection: Open a new web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape etc.) to securely access your account and enter your site URL in the following manner:

https://www.Webname.com/.

Password Safety-

Never share a password: No website developer ever wants to know the password. So always be careful. If you ever feel like your password is in someone else's hands, change it immediately without wasting time.

Use strong and non-conventional passwords: Use passwords that contain letters, numbers, and symbols all at once. E.g. ঃ coo! Place2l! Ve or 2Barry5Bonds # 1. Please carefully avoid nicknames, date of birth, and all these common passwords. And give up the habit of forgetting passwords over and over again.

Use different passwords: Do not use the same password for all online sites (such as AOL, eBay, MSN, or Yahoo). If you use the same password for all online sites, if an account is hacked then all your accounts will be copied quickly, you will not be able to change the password of all the accounts quickly.

Laptop tips

Decrease screen brightness when running a laptop on battery.

Minimize windows other than necessary

Occasionally clean the battery connector line.

Play movie songs from a hard disk, because CD / DVD ROM consumes a lot more power.

Keep the air vents open, position the laptop in a way that allows easy ventilation, and do not expose it to direct sunlight.

Use hibernate option instead of shutting down.

Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections

Use good quality antivirus. But of course not Norton Antivirus, because it slows down the system a lot.

Hard disk and CPU maintenance do no work.

Even if you do not need to run the laptop with the battery, you have to run the battery from time to time every 2/3 weeks, otherwise, the battery life will be reduced.

 Turn off unnecessary programs.

Ram Cleaner, Ram Optimizer, Mem Monster, Free Up Ram, Super Ram, for occasional memory cleanup.

 Defragment regularly.

Uninstall programs that are not currently needed.

      Set up Fax on XP

Those who use Windows XP can take advantage of fax on computers only through a fax modem. First, make sure you have a Fax modem on your computer. If not, set up a new Fax modem (it can be from any company) on your computer. Click Start> Printer and Fax to open the Printer and Fax window. Click Setup Faxing from the Common Task menu slide bar in the right corner of the window. In this case, a Windows XP setup disk will be required. Insert the CD of Windows XP into the ROM drive. The fax icon will appear shortly. Now double click on the Fax icon.

Click Next in the Welcome Fax configuration window. From Select information, type your required information, and click Next. Then click on Finish. Click Unblock from Windows Security Alert. To fax, a print command from any program and select Fax from the printer name drop-down box and click OK. And Fax Receive will automatically receive the call.

 Hard disk problems and solutions

This is not always the case when the hard disk is damaged. This can often happen if there is an error in a DOS file. This can happen if there is a problem with your Ram slot or if there is a problem with the power unit or the motherboard. Above all, this can happen if your hard disk is simply not plugged in properly or is stuck.

You need to be a little more careful to make sure that your hard disk has a truly complex problem.

Take your ear to the system unit when the computer is about to start by pressing the start switch of the computer. In this case, open your system unit box and check if the cables are properly connected to the hard disk. Check if the Ram slots are in the right place. Check if the power connection is on the motherboard properly. If everything is OK then switch on the CPU by putting the cover on the box.

Solve RAM problem

You can check if there is any problem by inserting another Ram slot.

You will use both your hands to open the Ram slot. Press the clips on either side of the Ram slot with the index finger of both hands. The Ram slot will open nicely.

It is not wise to stick to a faulty Ram CPU. Because the price of the Ram slot is not very high. So it is better to replace a Ram as soon as you realize that it is defective. Otherwise, it may later affect your expensive motherboard. Or on any other device.

    Solve the LAN card problem

 1. The golden notch inside the LAN card may have insulation inside. Thoroughly clean the notches with a thin screwdriver.

2. Connect the LAN card to another good PC and make sure that the LAN card is OK.

3. If OK, try another PCI slot.

4. Change the battery of the BIOS and set the BIOS to default.

1. Right-click on My Network Place and click on Properties. If l

If the card does not show, but the device adapter from the device manager to the network card to see if the LAN card shows any symbol. Right-click on the network adapter and click Properties. Click on the Upgrade Driver tab to upgrade the driver.

  Is the power supply OK?

Not coming to power on PC.

The power supply fan turns on but nothing works.

The processor fan rotates but does not work.

The PC is restarted occasionally

The motherboard lights up but the power supply and processor fan do not turn on.

No response was received from PC.

Increase the speed of your computer

Cleaning makes PC work faster.

Different hardware problems and solutions: Hard disk problems and solutions

Your hard disk can be damaged or damaged at any time. You can fix minor errors with any Disk First Aid Tool Kit. However, if there is a large error, it can not be repaired in any way. A new hard disk has to be inserted in that place.

If your hard disk is damaged while running the computer, DOS prompt may write the following: NO SYSTEM DISK IS FOUND

That is, the central processing unit or CPU cannot find the system disk to run your computer. Of course, this is not always the case when the hard disk is damaged.

Move your ear to the system unit when the computer is about to start by pressing the computer's start switch.

If there is a big problem with the hard disk, this time there will be some bad sound like "Ding dong, tit, pip pip". Also, the sound of flexible rolling their hair may be intermittent. If this happens, you should understand that there is a big error in your hard disk.

If this is not the case then maybe the computer problem is somewhere else. In this case, open your system unit box and check if the cables are properly connected to the hard disk. Check if the Ram slots are in the right place. Check if the power connection is on the motherboard properly. If all goes well then switch on the CPU by putting the cover on the box.

Hopefully this time your computer will turn on properly. If this is not the case then maybe you have a problem with your hard disk or motherboard. In these cases, it is best to set up your hard disk on another active computer to check if it is really damaged.

If it is really ruined then there is no other way but to change it.
